Snowball Dough Ball Day is set to return on Tuesday, 26 November at the nation’s best-loved sociable pizzeria, PizzaExpress.
Now in its fourth year, all money raised from sales of the pizzeria’s favourite Dough Balls will be dough-nated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Earlier this year the pizza-maker announced that since the partnership began in 2016, the money it’s raised (over £2m), could have funded 36 nurses for a whole year.
For one day only, you can pop to your nearest pizzeria and purchase a portion of Snowball Dough Balls to dine in or take away for just £1 and devour in the knowledge that it’s for a totally awesome cause. The brand will also be donating an extra* £1 for every image of the doughy delights shared on Insta using the hashtag #SnowballDoughBallDay throughout the day.
Snowball Dough Balls are a limited-edition festive favourite combining PizzaExpress’ iconic Dough Balls, with a sprinkle of cinnamon, a flurry of icing sugar and generous serving of vanilla cream or salted caramel. There are also vegan and gluten free options available on the menu throughout the festive period.
Macmillan is funded almost entirely by public donations and previous Snowball Dough Ball days have raised more than £11,000 in a single day. This year the pizzeria is hoping to raise even more ‘dough’ with the help of the public to help Macmillan support the growing number of people living with cancer.
