Call it jungle fever or animal magic, primitive prints look set to stay since being spotted this time last year in their droves. Variations of leopard, snake, zebra, tiger and even oversized giraffe paraded down catwalks once again, but this season they've migrated to statement outwear.
First made fashion-famous by Versace, animal print was flaunted at Paco Rabanne and Marc Jacobs AW19 and the street style pack quickly caught on with cowhides worn under or over full-length coats. Accessories have also had a luxe-over with patent croc long-strap bags adorning hips at Lanvin and python-reminiscent clutches in hands at Michael Kors, as well as similar textures on the feet of many a model.
Venture boldly into the unknown and earn your stripes by layering up skins and clashing prints.
