Do More this Summer

Kids go Free

Visiting Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight has never been better this Summer.  Travel by train to Gunwharf Quays with the family and kids are only £1 across the South Western Railway network, see below for more details.

By visiting Gunwharf Quays, you will be able to enjoy all your favourite brands for less while appreciating the fabulous waterfront location.  Check out all the latest offers below.  Especially for our younger visitors, we have our new play area, history trail and free craft workshops at Aspex gallery.  Don’t miss the Mini Loco, our miniature steam train to give you a ride around the canals, where you will also find our vintage fairground rides and water walkers.

Partnered with Wave 105, we have the South's first Virtual Reality pop up festival, from 4th - 31st August, when you can book one of the 29 virtual reality stations and choose from over 100 game titles, click below for further information.

For children over 11, they can experience The Drop at the Spinnaker Tower where they can have a harnessed descent from 25m above sea level.  Or if they would prefer to have an experience but keep their feet on the ground, they can enjoy Altitude, a virtual reality experience giving the feeling of balancing on the outside of the iconic building up on the 1st viewing deck.

Things to do with the kids

After enjoying all the Centre has to offer, you can get further savings while in Portsmouth.  Kids go free this Summer at not only the Historic Dockyard but also at The Mary Rose Museum and if you’ve got a bit more time, why not take a trip over to the Isle of Wight with Wightlink, who are allowing kids to go free as foot passengers, when travelling with an adult.  Please click below for further information.
